Automated Access and Data Licensing Policy
Effective date: July 17, 2026
This Automated Access and Data Licensing Policy ("Policy") is incorporated into the Terms of Use governing 4arizona.com and the 4Search network. It applies to every person or entity that accesses the Services through a bot, crawler, scraper, agent, headless browser, browser-automation system, script, API client, distributed request system, data-extraction service, or any other automated or systematic means.
1. Protected Service Data
For purposes of this Policy, "Protected Service Data" means data, output, and compilations made available through or generated by the Services, including:
- search-result lists, result ordering, rankings, relevance signals, classifications, filters, snippets, summaries, extracted entities, annotations, and associated metadata;
- query-response pairs, query-derived datasets, result interactions, and compilations connecting a query or instruction to returned content;
- AI-generated or AI-assisted answers, overviews, summaries, citations, source selections, structured responses, and related output;
- product, price, shopping, news, website, topical, index, feed, and enriched-data output made available through the Services;
- the selection, coordination, arrangement, presentation, scoring, and compilation of Service output; and
- any substantially similar reconstruction, derivative dataset, benchmark, model input, retrieval corpus, or competing output created from the foregoing.
"Protected Service Data" does not assert ownership over a visitor's original words, unprotectable facts, or third-party content merely because that material appears in a result. 4Internet nevertheless reserves its contractual rights in access to and use of the Services, its rights in original content and protectable compilations, and any applicable database, copyright, trademark, trade-secret, unfair-competition, misappropriation, and other rights.
2. Prohibited automated and systematic conduct
Unless a signed data-license agreement expressly permits the conduct, you must not, directly or through another person:
- scrape, crawl, harvest, copy, download, record, cache, archive, mirror, index, monitor, or extract Protected Service Data by automated or systematic means;
- collect search results or AI responses at scale, including through repeated manual requests coordinated to produce a dataset;
- use browser automation, headless browsing, OCR, screenshots, accessibility interfaces, developer tools, network interception, or simulated user activity to avoid an automated-access restriction;
- rotate IP addresses, accounts, device identifiers, user agents, referrers, cookies, proxies, or network providers to conceal or distribute collection activity;
- bypass or defeat a robots directive, rate limit, CAPTCHA, access token, consent control, technical header, block, or other security or access-control measure;
- use Protected Service Data to train, fine-tune, ground, evaluate, benchmark, or improve a search engine, retrieval system, machine-learning model, generative-AI system, advertising system, data broker product, or competing service;
- sell, sublicense, publish, redistribute, syndicate, expose through an API, or otherwise make Protected Service Data available to another party; or
- use multiple persons, contractors, services, or systems to perform conduct that would be prohibited if performed by one person or system.
3. Prior written paid license required
No automated or systematic data right is granted by implication, estoppel, public accessibility, a robots-file allowance, an HTTP success response, a browser session, or the absence or failure of a technical block. Authorization exists only when 4Internet and the licensee have executed a written agreement or order form identifying the licensed data, access method, permitted purpose, volume, duration, users, security requirements, retention period, attribution obligations, onward-transfer restrictions, and fees.
A data license may require use of a designated API, feed, credential, network range, delivery mechanism, or rate limit. Payment by itself does not authorize access, and an unauthorized user may not create a license by tendering payment unilaterally.
4. Rates and licensing inquiries
4Internet commercially licenses search data, enriched data, feeds, indexes, classifications, query-response datasets, and other approved Service output for authorized uses. Rates depend on the requested dataset, volume, freshness, delivery method, permitted use, retention, redistribution rights, support, and term.
To request rates, use Contact 4Search and identify the request as a Data Licensing Inquiry. The inquiry should state the requesting entity, intended use, estimated request or record volume, desired fields, refresh frequency, territory, users or recipients, retention period, and whether the data will be used for AI training, retrieval, evaluation, advertising, resale, or redistribution.
Submitting an inquiry does not authorize collection. Automated access may begin only after the applicable agreement has been signed and any required credentials have been issued.
5. Limited indexing exception
A recognized general-purpose public search engine may crawl static public marketing, informational, and legal pages solely to create an ordinary public web-search index, provided that it complies with published robots directives and does not crawl or extract interactive search-result pages, query-response data, AI responses, nonpublic endpoints, or data feeds. This exception does not authorize generative-AI training, retrieval augmentation, dataset creation, commercial data enrichment, monitoring, competitive analysis, or resale.
6. Text-and-data-mining reservation
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, 4Internet expressly reserves all rights to reproduce and extract content for text and data mining, including the reservation contemplated by Article 4(3) of Directive (EU) 2019/790 and implementing or analogous laws. The Services may communicate this reservation through HTTP headers, metadata, robots directives, terms, access controls, or other machine-readable means.
This reservation does not limit a mandatory exception or nonwaivable right that applies according to its terms. A person relying on an exception bears responsibility for confirming its applicability and must not exceed its lawful scope or circumvent access controls.
7. Security, identification, and audit requirements
A licensee must accurately identify its automation, use only authorized credentials and network locations, comply with applicable request limits, maintain reasonable security, prevent unauthorized access, and provide usage records reasonably necessary to verify compliance. Unless the agreement states otherwise, the licensee must not share credentials, combine licensed data with personal information for profiling, attempt to reidentify deidentified data, or retain data after the licensed period.
8. Enforcement and payment for unauthorized use
4Internet may detect, investigate, throttle, block, suspend, or terminate suspected unauthorized access; preserve reasonably necessary evidence; notify hosting, network, platform, or law-enforcement providers where appropriate; and pursue any available contractual, statutory, equitable, or common-law remedy.
Available relief may include an injunction, damages, restitution, disgorgement of unjust enrichment or profits, the reasonable value of the unauthorized use, recovery of investigation and enforcement costs, and attorneys' fees where authorized by law or agreement. 4Internet expressly reserves the right to require payment of applicable commercial licensing fees as a condition of settlement, continued use, or future access. Unauthorized access does not become authorized retroactively unless 4Internet expressly agrees in a signed writing.
9. Third-party content
A 4Internet data license grants only the rights expressly identified in the agreement. It does not grant ownership of, or a license to, third-party webpages, publisher content, product listings, trademarks, or other third-party material. The licensee is responsible for obtaining any additional rights required for its use.
10. Changes and survival
4Internet may revise this Policy prospectively by posting an updated effective date. Restrictions, ownership provisions, accrued payment obligations, remedies, confidentiality duties, audit rights, and provisions that by their nature should survive will continue after access ends.
